Whooo's Hungry?!?

Happy Thanksgiving!

For today's holiday I gave my Sweet Stamp Shop Thanksgiving Owl-Fits and Watchin' TV some ink and Copics, and a little post it note masking to keep the turkey legs in the screen :)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Owl be back!

Hi everyone!

Today is my day on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, and it is also the end of my 6 month term :(

I decided to ink up one of my favorites, Melvin and Vernie, and cut into my new Basic Grey Clippings patterned papers.

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!

Today is my day on the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog.  I made this pet birthday card (how thoughtful!) with the super cute Buddy Bee stamp set and some Crate Portrait patterned papers.

I love the idea of the puppy congrats sentiment in this set, too.  It's such a special time when a new pet comes into the house!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pretty Packaging

Hi everyone!

Today is my turn on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, and I've got a fun idea for gift packaging using the Packaged Pretty stamp set.

This is one of those 3" square boxes you can find in the gift wrap section of Michael's for about 50 cents.  I thought it would be a fun idea to seal it up with strips of washi tape.

For the seal I used different patterned papers from Amy Tangerine Sketchbook and circle cut the first 2 layers, then used the Spellbinders Pinked Circles die for the bottom layer.

Here are the rest of the stamps in the Packaged Pretty set

Turn Up the Music

Hi everyone!

Today is my day on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog.  I made this card with one of my favorites, the Old School Rock stamp set.

Have you seen the newest Stamp It! Cards yet?

Since we're allowed to post 1 published project when the issue comes out I thought I'd share this one, also made with Old School Rock

I computer generated the sentiment, using the SNF Lollihop font.  This one made it in to the Anniversary category :)

School's Out

Hi everyone.

Today is my day on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog.  I made this card with the School's Out stamp set.  My little boy Willie goes to a year round school and today is his last day before a 3 week break.  When he goes back it is considered a summer session and we might not get the same bus driver so I made this for his bus driver who is a really sweet lady.  Its a short bus that comes right to our house and takes a small group of kids to the Autistic support classroom he's in.  Yesterday I put Willie on the bus and about 5 minutes later she drove back to house.  I went out and he had thrown up on himself!  Most of it was on him so the bus didn't need too much clean up.  So I went out and got a Starbucks GC to put in the card.

Here is the stamp set.  I was thinking the bus would be cool with some paper piecing ala Partridge Family style.  I will try this next!

Hi everyone, and welcome to the Sweet Stamp Shop's June Release Blog Hop!

Today we are releasing 2 new sets, Out in Space and Made By.  I used Out in Space here and did some white  embossing of the stars and sentiment.

Here is the back, stamped with one of the sentiments from Made By

This is a fun set of sentiments to customize the backs of your handmade cards (I always forget about this!).  The bracket frame is from a different stamp set, Sweet Alpha Doodles.

Here is the order of the hop:

Laura (you are here!)
Stephanie

Your next stop is Laurel.

Happy Father's Day

Hi everyone.

Today is my turn on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog.  I made a Father's Day card, since Father's Day is now less than 2 weeks away.  Yikes!  Guy cards are tough, but you can't go wrong with a big TV.  I used 2 stamp sets, Watchin' TV and a sentiment from It's a Man's World.  Its pretty simple.  Colored with Copics and a patterned paper background from My Mind's Eye.

You can find the Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Twitter.

Just Scootin' By

The Sweet Stamp Shop is doing a cross promotion with Momenta this week!

They sent me a bunch of goodies from their One Fine Day collection which I have paired up with stamps from Scootin' By.  This collection feels like summer!  The glittery banner is from a 12" puffy border sticker which would also be great on a scrapbook page.

I found this sun and clouds pattern on one of the papers and thought it would be a great way to finish the inside of the card without adding bulk

If you stop by the Momenta blog and the Sweet Stamp Shop blog this week you will find more projects and chances to win some great prizes.

Here are the stamps from Scootin' By
And here is one more.  I made a tag with more of the Momenta papers and this sweet dimensional sticker.  The twine is from Timeless Twine.

Let's Spoon

Hi everyone.

Today is my day on the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog.  It's also Mother's Day, but this is definitely not a Mother's Day card.  Hopefully we're all done with our Mother's Day cards and not making them this morning!

I made this with Cool Scoop.  The spoons and tiny hearts are from Cool Scoop.  The sentiment is computer generated using the SNF Lollihop font.  This font was designed by Kim Hughes and I think it works great with fun and cute stamps like these.

You can find the Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Twitter.

Hi everyone!

Today is day 2 of this month's new release blog hops at the Sweet Stamp Shop.  The set I've used for this card is Jar of Sweets.  I colored my jars with Copics, then gave them a coat of Glossy Accents and a ledge to sit on made from a Martha Stewart border punch.

Here is a better angle to see the glossiness

Here is the order of the hop:

Sweet Stamp Shop
Emily
Stephanie
Laura (you are here)

next stop:
Nicole

All three new sets will be revealed and available in the store tomorrow.  If you'd like a chance to win one of the new releases there will be a random draw from comments left on the DT's blogs, and there will be a coupon code posted on the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog.

Sweet Stamp Shop + Core'dinations

Hi everyone!

The Sweet Stamp Shop and Core'dinations Cardstock are doing a cross promotion this week.

They sent us a generous selection of their color core cardstock, and wow is this stuff cool!

I dry embossed my background piece with the Cuttlebug Branches folder.  The Core'dinations cardstock is sturdy enough not to crack with dry embossing, but with just a light sanding you can take off the surface to reveal the core color.

I gave my background a pretty good sanding, and then when I trimmed up the piece I sanded all of the edges to frame it up.  And the little banner that the critters are sitting on was made with the other side of the cardstock.  It is very smooth and holds up well to detailed stamping!

I used Sweet Stamp Shop's Furry Friends Forever.  If you head over to the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog and the Core'dinations blog there are some more projects and chances to win some great prizes!

You can also find Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook Flickr Twitter and YouTube.
