Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks! Blog Hop

Today's post is truly bittersweet.

I am blog hopping with many contributors and fans of Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Magazine as we've recently learned that the magazine will be closing up shop.  It is the end of an era.  (sigh)

So first I will share the card I made, then reminisce a little, then list the rest of the hoppers.

If you are following in order you should have come from Veronica Zalis, and if you would like to start from the beginning that would be Jennifer McGuire.

So this is a creative thank you and I really wanted to convey just how inspiring the magazine has been over the years and how much I've enjoyed being a part of it.  I kept the card upbeat because I just know that this group of talented ladies will be moving on to bigger and better things.

My first publications with the magazine were in 2009 in the special issue Stamp It! Cards.  If you want to get a peek at what my cardmaking style was like back then here is one of my pubs from that issue (still one of my favorite cards!)  After those first pubs I started submitting on a fairly regular basis.  I was so surprised when the editors found and friended me on Facebook.  Then all of us - the Go To Gals, other cardmakers, manufacturers -  we all became "friends" and built up such a fun and inspiring community.  Seeing one of my own cards in an issue is so exciting and then the very next thing I look for is which one of my friends had a card on either side of mine :)  And the magazine itself was always fantastic but then after you flipped through it if you went over to the Moxie Fab or Papercrafts Connection blog you would probably find a challenge featuring something covered in the current issue.  What a way to get your money's worth from a magazine.  Be inspired, then put it to use!

OK now, I'm going to wrap this up and send you on your way.  This is a big hop!

Jennifer McGuire
Taheerah Atchia
Veronica Zalis
Laura O'Donnell (you are here!)

next up, the fabulous

Julia Stainton

Here is the full Inlinkz list of hoppers (I hope!)
