September Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to the Studio AE blog hop!

Today we are featuring September's kit, Celebrate Fall

It's not quite fall yet where I live in Pennsylvania so I knew I didn't have any current photos to scrap.  I started going through old photos, pulling out pictures from different years and different fall events.  Before long I had a pretty good stack and here is what happened

A mini book was born!

For the covers I used Technique Tuesday's Technique Tiles.  These are a nice cream colored chipboard that respond well to stamping and various techniques.  I stamped the leaves in various shades of Memento inks and gave a slight brushing of Antique Linen Distress ink with the Ranger foam blending tool.  "Celebrate" is from the Kids Are Cool stamp set.  I xacto cut the opening from corrugated cardstock and attached it to the Technique Tile base with a lot of ATG adhesive, then added the alpha stickers and felt leaves and punched the holes with the Crop-a-Dile.

Making this book was a real stash buster!

I wallpapered the inside cover with photos from a trip to a local orchard when my daughter was 3.  That's her hand in the bottom right holding up a tiny pumpkin.  For the first page I used a chevron bag from Whisker Graphics.  There is nothing in the bag right now, but it is very weighted down with all of the stickers and Thickers so I might just leave it as is.

This is a Martha Stewart/Avery tag from Staples.  The denim leaf was cut with the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die (also used for the felt leaves on the cover).

This doily was a perfect fit for the biggest stamp in the set.  I took this picture years ago at a park near my office.  I used to go sometimes on my lunch hour and walk the trail.  It was really pretty.

I coated the tag with  Ranger Broken China Distress Stain and flicked water on it, dried it with a heat gun and stamped the sentiment.

For these pages the "get outside" stamp is from the July 2011 Studio AE kit, which is still available in the Technique Tuesday store.

And here is Mary Rose on her first day of Kindergarten.  She just started 8th grade last week!

I used a sentiment from the I Love School stamp set on the tab.

And here are the last pages.  Goal for this fall:  put the zoom lens on the camera and get better field hockey photos!
